ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,227,774, issued on Feb. 18, was assigned to Singular Genomics Systems Inc. (San Diego).

"Modified PHI29 DNA polymerases and uses thereof" was invented by Souad Naji (La Jolla, Calif.), Alexander Sevy (San Diego), Jason Cellitti (San Diego), Eli N. Glezer (Del Mar, Calif.), Bruna Krebs Kutche (San Diego), Zachary Terranova (San Diego) and Sumit Handa (San Diego).
