ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,286,667, issued on April 29, was assigned to SINGULAR GENOMICS SYSTEMS INC. (San Diego).

"In situ detection of nucleic acid molecules" was invented by Eli N. Glezer (Del Mar, Calif.), Hu Cang (San Diego) and Zhenmin Hong (San Diego).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed herein, inter alia, are compositions and methods of use thereof for interrogating a cell."
