ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 25 -- United States Patent no. 12,478,529, issued on Nov. 25, was assigned to SIJE Inc. (Lompoc, Calif.).
"Flexible patient lift assist harness" was invented by Larry Gerard Justice (Lompoc, Calif.) and Steven Craig Anderson (Lompoc, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A flexible lift assist harness is configured to allow caregivers to assist patients with limited mobility. The flexible lift assist harness may include a flexible belt assembly which may be secured to the torso of the patient, and in some cases at least one leg anchor assembly which may be secured to a leg of the patient."
