US Patent Issued to SIGNODE INDUSTRIAL GROUP on May 13 for "Strapping tool" (Swiss Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,296,998, issued on May 13, was assigned to SIGNODE INDUSTRIAL GROUP LLC (Tampa, Fla.).

"Strapping tool" was invented by Mirco Neeser (Ehrendingen, Switzerland), Kurt Bolliger (Ehrendingen, Switzerland) and Andreas Keller (Birr, Switzerland).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A strapping tool configured to tension metal strap around a load and, after tensioning, attach overlapping portions of the strap to one another by cutting notches into a seal element positioned around the overlapping portions of the strap and into the overlapping portions of the strap themselves."

The patent was filed on Jan. 9, 2023, under Application No. 18/151,766.
