US Patent Issued to SIGNODE INDUSTRIAL GROUP on June 17 for "Case-handling system with flap openers" (Pennsylvania Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,330,827, issued on June 17, was assigned to SIGNODE INDUSTRIAL GROUP LLC (Tampa, Fla.).

"Case-handling system with flap openers" was invented by Bryce J. Fox (Honesdale, Pa.) and William J. Menta (West Wyoming, Pa.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide a case-handling system including movable flap openers positionable relative to a case and operable to fold the upper major flaps of the case outwardly before the upper minor flaps of the case are folded inwardly and closed."
