ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 4 -- United States Patent no. 12,324,067, issued on June 3, was assigned to SIGNIFY HOLDING B.V. (Eindhoven, Netherlands).

"Lamp driver with voltage sensing" was invented by Tijmen Cornelis Van Bodegraven (Eindhoven, Netherlands) and Reinhold Elferich (Aachen, Germany).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A lamp driver has a transformer, a primary side circuit and a secondary side circuit. The primary side circuit comprises a half bridge circuit and a sensor circuit for measuring a conduction time or switching frequency of one of the transistors of the half bridge circuit. An estimate is provided of the output voltage from the measured conduction time."
