According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A bracket for mounting a light strip on a surface. The bracket comprises two components each with a light strip holder. A light strip path is defined between both light strip holders. The bracket comprises a hinge connecting the two components and enabling them to swing towards one another. The hinge and both components avoid light strip path when the components swing towards one another."
