ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,493,465, issued on Dec. 9, was assigned to SiFive Inc. (Santa Clara, Calif.).

"Vector load store operations in a vector pipeline using a single operation in a load store unit" was invented by Bradley Gene Burgess (Sunset Valley, Texas), David Kravitz (Cambridge, Mass.) and Alexandre Solomatnikov (San Carlos, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Systems and methods are disclosed for transferring data between a memory system and a vector register file. For example, a system may include a vector pipeline including a vector physical register file; a load store unit; one or more pipeline stages configured to decode a vector memory instruction...
