"Methods of blood sample suspension" was invented by Aaron Kauffmann (Elkhart, Ind.) and Chris Zimmerle (Goshen, Ind.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed herein are methods for rapid detection of suspension of a blood sample from a subject and methods for improving the processing time of a point of care blood analysis. Specifically, the disclosed methods provide a rapid detection of hemoglobin concentration, more specifically glycated hemoglobin A1c, and determination of sugar concentration in the blood sample from the subject.
