ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,471,939, issued on Nov. 18, was assigned to SHOCKWAVE MEDICAL INC. (Santa Clara, Calif.).
"Shock wave catheter with retractable enclosure" was invented by Rainier Betelia (San Jose, Calif.), Todd Weston Jenkins (San Jose, Calif.) and Danielle Sheree Rond (Santa Clara, Calif.).
