ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,357,560, issued on July 15, was assigned to Shiseido Co. Ltd. (Tokyo).
"Composition for treating or preventing skin pigmentation" was invented by Sayaka Koide (Tokyo), Masaya Takagi (Tokyo), Shoko Yamada (Tokyo), Ritsuro Ideta (Tokyo) and Takashi Satoh (Tokyo).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention provides a composition for treating or preventing skin pigmentation, which contains fibroblasts as an active ingredient, wherein the fibroblasts are those fibroblasts which are less damaged than fibroblasts localized in a site where the skin pigmentation occurs, and the composition is characterized by being intended to be applied ...
