ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,220,469, issued on Feb. 11, was assigned to SHISEIDO COMPANY LTD. (Tokyo).
"Solid W/O cosmetic composition" was invented by Lethu Nguyen (East Windsor, N.J.), Shoji Tajima (Yokohama, Japan) and Michelle Lou (East Windsor, N.J.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A solid W/O stable composition comprising a gellifying system comprising at least one hydrophobic gelling agent and at least one hydrophilic gelling agent and an emulsifying system comprising at least one surfactant having HLB value of 14 or less. Further there is disclosed a method of treatment keratinous surface with the inventive composition."
