ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 20 -- United States Patent no. 12,391,870, issued on Aug. 19, was assigned to SHIN-ETSU CHEMICAL Co. LTD. (Tokyo).
"Coated semiconductor nanoparticles and method for producing the same" was invented by Kazuya Tobishima (Annaka, Japan), Shinji Aoki (Annaka, Japan) and Yoshihiro Nojima (Annaka, Japan).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method for producing coated semiconductor nanoparticles, comprising a step of coating the surface of semiconductor nanoparticles with a metal oxide, wherein the surface of the semiconductor nanoparticles is coated with the metal oxide by treating a metal oxide precursor with microwave irradiation treatment."
