"Network controlled repeater (NCR) procedures to support type 2 configured grants" was invented by Zhanping Yin (Vancouver, Wash.) and Tomoki Yoshimura (Camas, Wash.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A network controlled repeater (NCR) is described. The NCR includes receiving circuitry configured to receive a radio resource control (RRC) configuration from a gNodeB (gNB) on a configured grant (CG), including resource allocation with beam indication, an uplink (UL) forwarding delay information and an NCR configured scheduling-radio network temporary identifier (CS-RNTI)."
