US Patent Issued to Semiconductor Energy Laboratory on July 8 for "Display apparatus and electronic device" (Japanese Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,355,019, issued on July 8, was assigned to Semiconductor Energy Laboratory Co. Ltd. (Atsugi, Japan).

"Display apparatus and electronic device" was invented by Susumu Kawashima (Atsugi, Japan), Koji Kusunoki (Isehara, Japan), Kazunori Watanabe (Machida, Japan) and Satoshi Yoshimoto (Isehara, Japan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A display apparatus including a pixel circuit that generates a PWM signal is provided. In the display apparatus, a pixel has a function of generating a PWM signal. The PWM signal can be generated by an operation of comparing gate-source voltage or on-state resistance of each of two transistors provided in the pixel....
