ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 30 -- United States Patent no. 12,429,629, issued on Sept. 30, was assigned to SEIKO EPSON Corp. (Tokyo).
"Projector" was invented by Fumika Yamada (Shiojiri, Japan).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A projector of the present disclosure includes a light source that emits laser light, a metasurface element that modulates the phase of the laser light emitted from the light source, and a light modulation element that modulates the phase-modulated laser light emitted from the metasurface element to generate projection light."
The patent was filed on Dec. 21, 2022, under Application No. 18/085,994.
