ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,447,765, issued on Oct. 21, was assigned to Seiko Epson Corp. (Tokyo).

"Liquid ejector" was invented by Sho Shimizu (Shiojiri, Japan), Hiroyuki Santo (Matsumoto, Japan) and Keigo Iizawa (Shiojiri, Japan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A liquid ejector includes a holding unit capable of holding a roll body around which a fabric is wound, a conveyance unit capable of pulling out the fabric from the roll body to convey the fabric, an ejection unit capable of ejecting a liquid to be fabric pulled out from the roll body, and a moisture applying unit that applies moisture to the roll body held by the holding unit."
