ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,459,272, issued on Nov. 4, was assigned to SEIKO EPSON Corp. (Tokyo).

"Liquid container" was invented by Masahiro Karasawa (Matsumoto, Japan) and Kazuyuki Hirata (Matsumoto, Japan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A liquid container includes: a bag having flexibility configured to store liquid inside; a liquid outlet member mounted on one end of the bag and having a liquid outlet section to discharge the liquid to a liquid ejecting apparatus; a gas absorption unit movably disposed in the bag and having (i) a space holding member that forms an internal space of the gas absorption unit, and (ii) a gas transmission film that defines an inside o...
