ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,473,452, issued on Nov. 18, was assigned to SEIKO EPSON Corp. (Japan).

"Reaction solution for pigment printing, ink set, and recording method" was invented by Daisuke Sakuma (Minowa, Japan) and Akiko Yamada (Shiojiri, Japan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A reaction solution for pigment printing according to an embodiment of the present disclosure contains a polyvalent metal salt, a cationic polymer, a polyhydric alcohol having a standard boiling point of 250deg C. or higher, and water, and is used by being ejected by an ink jet method."
