US Patent Issued to Seiko Epson on Aug. 5 for "Printing device" (Japanese Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,377,665, issued on Aug. 5, was assigned to Seiko Epson Corp. (Tokyo).

"Printing device" was invented by Kazutoshi Fujisawa (Okaya, Japan), Satoru Katagami (Matsumoto, Japan) and Yuichi Washio (Shiojiri, Japan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A printing device 1 includes a setting section 2 that sets a roll-shaped print medium P, a winding section 5 that winds up the print medium P, a print head 3 that forms an image by ejecting ink onto an image forming surface P1 of the print medium P, and a drying oven 10 that is disposed downstream of the print head 3 in the transport direction and that is for drying ink that was ejected onto the print m...
