ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,282,297, issued on April 22, was assigned to SEIKO EPSON Corp. (Japan).
"Timepiece dial and timepiece" was invented by Atsushi Kobayashi (Shiojiri, Japan) and Yuki Hibi (Shiojiri, Japan).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A timepiece dial includes a substrate having transmissivity and two or more types of transmissive color films provided at one surface of the substrate, in which the two or more types of transmissive color films do not overlap with each other in plan view as viewed from a direction perpendicular to the one surface of the substrate."
The patent was filed on Sept. 7, 2021, under Application No. 17/467,540.
