US Patent Issued to SeeQC on Dec. 16 for "Superconducting traveling-wave parametric amplifier" (New York, Connecticut Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,500,563, issued on Dec. 16, was assigned to SeeQC Inc. (Elmsford, N.Y.).

"Superconducting traveling-wave parametric amplifier" was invented by Alessandro Miano (New Haven, Conn.) and Oleg Mukhanov (Putnam Valley, N.Y.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A system and method are disclosed for a superconducting traveling-wave parametric amplifier (TWPA) with improved control and performance. In a preferred embodiment, the amplifier comprises an integrated array of symmetric rf-SQUIDs in a transmission line structure.
