ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 23 -- United States Patent no. 12,367,896, issued on July 22, was assigned to Seagate Technology LLC (Fremont, Calif.).

"Magnetic recording head writer having an auxiliary magnetomotive force coil" was invented by Jianhua Xue (Maple Grove, Minn.), Olle Gunnar Heinonen (Eden Prairie, Minn.) and Michael A. Seigler (Eden Prairie, Minn.).
