ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 25 -- United States Patent no. 12,482,617, issued on Nov. 25, was assigned to Schneider Electric Industries SAS (Rueil-Malmaison, France).
"Circuit breaker" was invented by Raimund Summer (Regensburg, Germany).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A circuit breaker comprises a vacuum chamber in which a fixed contact and a movable contact are located. A compensating reservoir comprising a counter-pressure element is provided for a good contacting."
