US Patent Issued to Schlumberger Technology on July 15 for "Surfactant package for direct emulsion drilling fluid" (Texas Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,359,109, issued on July 15, was assigned to Schlumberger Technology Corp. (Sugar Land, Texas).

"Surfactant package for direct emulsion drilling fluid" was invented by Lynn Michelle Foster (Pearland, Texas), Jeremy Smith (Houston) and Dimitri M. Khramov (Katy, Texas).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Drilling fluid mixtures are described herein that are stable oil-in-water emulsions. Also described herein are surfactant packages for stabilizing such emulsions.
