ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 23 -- United States Patent no. 12,421,763, issued on Sept. 23, was assigned to Schlage Lock Co. LLC (Carmel, Ind.).

"Programmable cylinder lock not requiring a specific change key" was invented by Alberto Loreti (Rome).
