ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,379,003, issued on Aug. 5, was assigned to Schaeffler Technologies AG &Co. KG (Herzogenaurach, Germany).

"Clutch with a piston that can be actuated on both sides and mechanical engaging elements" was invented by Viktor Lichtenwald (Furth, Germany) and Knut Erdmann (Nuremberg, Germany).
