ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,456,499, issued on Oct. 28, was assigned to Sandisk Technologies Inc. (Milpitas, Calif.).

"Three-dimensional memory device including laterally separated source lines and method of making the same" was invented by Masaaki Higashitani (Cupertino, Calif.), James Kai (Santa Clara, Calif.) and Johann Alsmeier (San Jose, Calif.).
