ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,471,612, issued on Nov. 18, was assigned to SAMYANG Corp. (Seoul, South Korea).
"Functional crystalline sweetener" was invented by Go-Eun Kim (Gwangju-si, South Korea), Ji Won Park (Suwon-si, South Korea), Sung Won Park (Yongin-si, South Korea), Kyung-Hun Ryu (Seongnam-si, South Korea) and Chong Jin Park (Daejeon, South Korea).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to functional saccharides having specific crystallinity, a method for preparing thereof, and a functional sweetener comprising the crystalline saccharides."
The patent was filed on Aug. 22, 2023, under Application No. 18/236,463.
