ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,315,559, issued on May 27, was assigned to SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS Co. Ltd. (South Korea).

"Latch-based storage circuits having efficient integrated circuit layouts" was invented by Kijun Lee (Suwon-si, South Korea), Youngmin Kang (Gwangju, South Korea), Ikjoon Chang (Yongin-si, South Korea) and Kyomin Sohn (Suwon-si, South Korea).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A storage circuit includes a multi-stage latch circuit having first to fourth transistor pairs therein, which respectively include a pull-up transistor and a pull-down transistor connected in series through a corresponding one of first to fourth storage nodes.
