ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,333,004, issued on June 17, was assigned to SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS Co. Ltd. (Suwon-si, South Korea).

"Privileged firmware mode protection" was invented by Baibhav Singh (Sunnyvale, Calif.), Stephen Elliot McLaughlin (San Jose, Calif.) and Hayawardh Vijayakumar (San Jose, Calif.).
