ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,401,988, issued on Aug. 26, was assigned to Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd (South Korea).
"In and relating to multi-USIM in mobile telecommunication environment" was invented by Mahmoud Watfa (Middlesex, Great Britain) and Lalith Kumar (Bangalore, India).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method and an apparatus with multi-universal subscriber identity module (MUSIM) capability in wireless communication system. A service request procedure is initiated in case that a user equipment (UE) does not have allowed network slice selection assistance information (NSSAI) and an associated trigger is related to a MUSIM feature."
