ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,388,134, issued on Aug. 12, was assigned to SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS Co. LTD. (Gyeonggi-Do, South Korea) and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Cambridge, Mass.).

"Lithium ion conducting protective film and method of use" was invented by Mariya Khiterer (Cambridge, Mass.), Paula T. Hammond (Newton, Mass.) and Sun Hwa Lee (Cambridge, Mass.).
