ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,313,909, issued on May 27, was assigned to Samsung Electro-Mechanics Co. Ltd. (Suwon-si, South Korea).
"Optical imaging system" was invented by Phil Ho Jung (Suwon-si, South Korea) and Jae Hyuk Huh (Suwon-si, South Korea).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An optical imaging system includes a first lens, a second lens, a third lens, a fourth lens, a fifth lens, and a sixth lens sequentially arranged from an object side. At least two of the first lens, the second lens, the third lens, the fourth lens, the fifth lens, and the sixth lens include at least one inflection point. An object-side surface of the sixth lens is concave."
