ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 4 -- United States Patent no. 12,320,961, issued on June 3, was assigned to Samsung Electro-Mechanics Co. Ltd. (Suwon-si, South Korea).
"Image capturing lens system" was invented by Hag Chul Kim (Suwon-si, South Korea), Kyu Min Chae (Suwon-si, South Korea) and Hyuk Joo Kim (Suwon-si, South Korea).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An image capturing lens system includes a first lens, a second lens, a third lens, a fourth lens, a fifth lens, a sixth lens, and a seventh lens sequentially arranged from an object side toward an image side. One or more of the lenses is an aspherical lens made of a glass material, and the sixth lens has positive refractive power."
