ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,257,274, issued on March 25, was assigned to Sami-Sabinsa Group Ltd. (Bangalore, India).

"Fructophilic lactic acid producing bacteria" was invented by Muhammed Majeed (Bangalore, India), Kalyanam Nagabhushanam (East Windsor, N.J.), Kirankumar Beede (Bangalore, India) and Sivakumar Arumugam (Bangalore, India).
