ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,398,255, issued on Aug. 26, was assigned to Saint Louis University (St. Louis).

"Biocompatible crosslinkers for controlled degradation of polymer hydrogels" was invented by Silviya Petrova Zustiak (St. Louis).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present disclosure relates generally to hydrogel biomaterials. In particular, the present disclosure is directed to compositions and methods for developing hydrolytically degradable hydrogels."
