ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,297,476, issued on May 13, was assigned to Saint Joseph's University (Philadelphia) and Western Kentucky University (Bowling Green, Ky.).
"Metallic nanoparticles and methods of making and using the same" was invented by Shivendra V. Sahi (Moorestown, N.J.), Nilesh Sharma (Bowling Green, Ky.) and Sinilal Bhaskaran (Kerala, India).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention relates to metallic nanoparticles made by that have been made in a plant cell suspension, and methods of making the metallic particles."
The patent was filed on Aug. 17, 2021, under Application No. 17/403,978.
