ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,298,643, issued on May 13, was assigned to SAGE ELECTROCHROMICS INC. (Faribault, Minn.) and ALLIANCE FOR SUSTAINABLE ENERGY LLC (Golden, Colo.).

"Electrochromic nickel oxide simultaneously doped with lithium and a metal dopant" was invented by Dane T. Gillaspie (Golden, Colo.) and Douglas G. Weir (Northfield, Minn.).
