ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,326,457, issued on June 10, was assigned to Rush University Medical Center (Chicago).
"ICOSL for use as a renal therapeutic" was invented by Jochen Reiser (Chicago), Eunsil Hahm (Morton Grove, Ill.) and Yanxia Cao (Chicago).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Methods treating an aberrant activation of AlphavBeta integrin are provided. The methods include administering a therapeutically effective amount of inducible co-stimulator ligand (ICOSL) polypeptide to a subject in need thereof. Methods of identifying subjects having a kidney injury are also provided."
The patent was filed on May 23, 2019, under Application No. 17/057,474.
