ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,291,338, issued on May 6, was assigned to RTX Corp. (Farmington, Conn.).
"Chilled working fluid generation and separation for an aircraft" was invented by Michael Winter (New Haven, Conn.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A system for an aircraft includes an engine bleed source of a gas turbine engine. The system also includes a means for chilling an engine bleed air flow from the engine bleed source to produce a chilled working fluid. The system further includes a means for providing the chilled working fluid for an aircraft use."
The patent was filed on March 10, 2022, under Application No. 17/691,578.
