ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 13 -- United States Patent no. 12,522,321, issued on Jan. 13, was assigned to RTX Corp. (Farmington, Conn.).

"Sacrificial yarn filament for use in ceramic matrix composites, methods of manufacture thereof and articles comprising the same" was invented by Kathryn S. Read (Marlborough, Conn.), Zachary P. Konopaske (West Hartford, Conn.), Steven R. Clarke (Mansfield, Mass.) and Aaron Tomich (Sutton, Mass.).
