ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,215,715, issued on Feb. 4, was assigned to RTX Corp. (Farmington, Conn.).

"Engine trim balance system" was invented by Enzo DiBenedetto (Berlin, Conn.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A balancing system includes a rotor hub having a center axis and a balancing ring surrounding the rotor hub. The balancing ring includes a plurality of ring teeth. A pinion gear includes a plurality of gear teeth in meshing engagement with the plurality of ring teeth, wherein the pinion gear is selectively rotated to adjust a position of the balancing ring relative to the rotor hub."

The patent was filed on Aug. 3, 2023, under Application No. 18/229,967.
