US Patent Issued to RTX on Feb. 25 for "High temperature composite materials with erosion resistant seal coat" (Connecticut Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,234,194, issued on Feb. 25, was assigned to RTX Corp. (Farmington, Conn.).

"High temperature composite materials with erosion resistant seal coat" was invented by Nitin Garg (West Hartford, Conn.), Olivier H. Sudre (Glastonbury, Conn.) and Richard Wesley Jackson (Mystic, Conn.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed is a coated composite comprising a seal coat disposed on a composite material wherein the seal coat comprises protective particles and a matrix."

The patent was filed on July 23, 2021, under Application No. 17/383,808.
