ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,385,419, issued on Aug. 12, was assigned to RTX Corp. (Farmington, Conn.).

"Oil-cooled carbon seal" was invented by Nigel David Sawyers-Abbott (South Glastonbury, Conn.), Armando Amador (Wethersfield, Conn.) and Todd A. Davis (Tolland, Conn.).
