US Patent Issued to Royal Caribbean Cruises on Nov. 25 for "Distributed muster for ocean-going vessels" (Florida Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 25 -- United States Patent no. 12,483,855, issued on Nov. 25, was assigned to Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. (Miami).

"Distributed muster for ocean-going vessels" was invented by Nicholas William Emilton Weir (Davie, Fla.), Jay Schneider (Miami Beach, Fla.) and Joey Hasty (Miami).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Distributed muster includes distributing to different mobile devices an identity of an assigned muster location of an ocean-going vessel, and associating each mobile device both with a corresponding passenger of the ocean-going vessel, and also with the assigned muster location.
