According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to leguminous protein isolates, particularly pea protein isolates having a low lipid content, as well as to the method for the preparation thereof. In one embodiment, provided is a leguminous plant protein isolate from pea and faba bean wherein said isolate does not contain organic solvent."
