ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,441,481, issued on Oct. 14, was assigned to ROLLS-ROYCE plc (London).

"Cryogenic fueled aircraft" was invented by Matthew Moxon (Derby, Great Britain).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A hydrogen fueled aircraft including a fuselage and a wing, and at least one fuel tank. The hydrogen fuel tank is mounted to the wing, wherein the fuel tank is mounted above the wing and spaced from an upper surface of the wing by a tank mounting arrangement which does not interfere with the wing upper surface."

The patent was filed on March 12, 2024, under Application No. 18/602,086.
