US Patent Issued to Rolls-Royce on Feb. 4 for "Multi-stage consolidation process for ceramic matrix composite prepreg material" (British Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,215,062, issued on Feb. 4, was assigned to Rolls-Royce plc.

"Multi-stage consolidation process for ceramic matrix composite prepreg material" was invented by Virtudes Rubio Diaz (London) and Matthew Hocking (London).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method used for forming ceramic matrix composite components includes several steps. The method comprises arranging a layup of a predetermined number of prepreg ceramic plies on a layup too and a plurality of different stages to debulk and consolidate the layup."
