ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 30 -- United States Patent no. 12,371,330, issued on July 29, was assigned to Rivian IP Holdings LLC (Irvine, Calif.).

"Graphene-based artificial graphite material" was invented by Cary Michael Hayner (Naperville, Ill.), Byoungchul You (Saratoga, Calif.) and Soo Kim (Fremont, Calif.).
